Every successful Clubhouse begins with a small group of people who believe their community can offer something different: a place where people living with mental illness can belong, contribute, and pursue meaningful opportunities.
Starting a Clubhouse allows communities to:

How Communities Develop Clubhouses
Every community’s path to developing a Clubhouse is unique. Some begin with a small group of people committed to creating a different approach to recovery, while others grow from existing community partnerships.
Regardless of where a community begins, successful Clubhouses are built through collaboration among people with lived experience, families, community organizations, mental health leaders, funders, and local partners.
Clubhouse International Support
Clubhouse International works alongside communities throughout the development process by providing support to:
Bring together people who share a commitment to creating a Clubhouse, including people with lived experience, community partners, and local leaders.
Develop an understanding of the principles and practices that define the Clubhouse Model through resources, training, and connection with the global Clubhouse community.
Through New Clubhouse Development (NCD) Training and ongoing consultation, communities receive guidance from Clubhouse International and experienced Clubhouse colleagues to develop their plans and prepare to bring the Model to life.
As part of the global Clubhouse network, your Clubhouse has access to ongoing resources, training, learning opportunities, and connections with experienced Clubhouses. Together, the network continues to strengthen and advance the Clubhouse Model around the world.
