Why Every Community Needs a Clubhouse
A new Canadian study shows enormous cost savings in the Clubhouse Model of psychosocial rehabilitation. The research looked at 101 participants at Toronto's Progress Place over two years and showed the personal and financial benefits of Clubhouse.
The Milken Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank focused on financial, physical, mental, and environmental health. In early 2026, they published a report highlighting opportunities in schizophrenia care and cited Clubhouse as a model of success.

Clubhouse International’s new Employer Database is a support tool designed to help U.S. Clubhouses identify, build, track, and learn from employer partnerships nationwide. This secure platform supercharges networking, strengthens collaboration, and expands Transitional Employment opportunities, with even more features on the way. We’re thrilled to bring this resource to the US Clubhouse network and look forward to the momentum it creates for expanding employment. Clubhouse International has been designated as a Center of Excellence (COE), for Clubhouse Services by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS). As part of the DHCS BH-Connect initiative, which seeks to transform California’s behavioral health delivery system, Clubhouse International is working with Health
Management Associates (HMA) as they manage the COE agenda. We will provide training, technical assistance and fidelity monitoring to participating county behavioral health delivery systems and Clubhouse program providers to strengthen and expand community-based recovery opportunities.We are enthusiastic about this opportunity and will work closely with the Clubhouse Coalition of California as we grow the number of Accredited Clubhouses throughout the state!

This campus-based collaboration will advance understanding of mental illness and enhance community connections.
