World Mental Health Day Recognized by Knesset, Israel -- Clubhouse Members Participate in Conference on Stigma
For the first time since the establishment of the country of Israel, the Knesset – Israel’s legislative body, marked World Mental Health Day.
The members of Jerusalem Clubhouse (shown here) were invited to take part in a conference on stigma. Among the conference participants were members of the Knesset, directors of medical institutions, and directors of nonprofit organizations working with rehabilitation and welfare for people living with mental illness. Clubhouse member, Ben Tur, a musical artist, played and sang two songs that he wrote and composed, and member, Elchanan Yonas, shared a speech about social stigma.
