Job Title: Clubhouse Generalist

Location: Chrysalis Clubhouse (2425 Atwood Ave, Downtown Madison, WI) + Community-Based Across Dane County

Status: Full-Time, Salaried- Exempt (Mon–Fri, 8:00AM - 4:00PM with occasional evenings, weekends, & holidays)

Starting Salary: $48,000 to $55,000 / year (Commensurate with experience)

About the Role

As a Clubhouse Generalist, you will provide recovery-oriented, person-centered psychosocial rehabilitation services. Rather than sitting behind a desk, you will roll up your sleeves and work side-by-side with Clubhouse members to run the daily operations of our space, cultivate relationships, and build meaningful life and employment skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide the Work-Ordered Day: Work side-by-side with members on daily tasks, including kitchen and shared meal preparation, the Chrysalis Pops garden/sales team, member outreach, budgeting/cashiering, and welcoming new members/tours.
• Provide 1:1 & Group Support: Help members explore vocational opportunities, reframe negative self-talk, build social skills, and navigate goal-setting barriers.
• Foster Person-Centered Recovery: Actively participate as a member of treatment/recovery teams, advocating for self-determination and educating partners on the Clubhouse model.
• Engage the Community: Accompany members out in the community for temporary employment placements (TEPs), errands, educational visits, and social recreation.
• Maintain Timely Documentation: Keep accurate, up-to-date progress notes, hour logs, and reports using electronic data systems.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior experience working in Human Services, rehabilitative settings, mental health/substance use support, or vocational programs.
• Technical Skills: Computer literacy (Google Workspace/Gmail, Microsoft Word, Excel) and comfort learning electronic health/data systems.
• Mobility Requirements: Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle for work, and active auto insurance (for local community travel and member transport).
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Social Work, Rehab Psychology, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Human Services; lived experience with recovery; bilingual skills (Spanish); or prior CCS/CRS experience.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Collaborative Clubhouse Hub (~65%): Based at our downtown Madison Clubhouse in a shared office & kitchen environment that promotes open communication and teamwork.
• Community Work (15%–25%): Delivering direct support in Dane County workplaces, member homes, treatment centers, and community spaces.
• Schedule: Primary hours are Monday–Friday, Day Shift (approx. 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM), with occasional holiday, evening/weekend hours for social activities, job support, or conferences.
