Our Birthday celebration is not really about us. As we mark our 32nd year of existence on June 4, we celebrate all the lives that have been changed by the Clubhouse Model. Before reading on, sign our Birthday Card!!!

At Clubhouses around the world, both staff and members know that people living with serious mental illness don’t just need treatment — they need a place where they belong, where they are genuinely needed, and where recovery can become reality through community and shared work. It doesn’t matter whether you’re in Seoul or Stockholm, Australia or New York — the experience of walking through a Clubhouse door and being welcomed as a member, as a contributor, as someone whose presence matters, is something that transcends borders, languages, and cultures. That’s not coincidence. That’s the Model working exactly as it was designed to. The founders of the Clubhouse movement believed that recovery is possible and we continue to see it every day.

For 32 years, Clubhouse International has been the engine behind Clubhouse growth:

It works because it starts with a truth that no diagnosis can erase: every person has potential, and every person deserves a community that sees it.
