Clubhouse International Announces New Corporate Partners Program
Clubhouse International announces the launch of our new Corporate Partners program – an opportunity for corporations to participate in the effort to expand the Clubhouse Model as part of global efforts to grow recovery-focused mental health services around the world.
Clubhouse International’s Corporate Partners Program recognizes companies that share a dedication to people living with mental illness and that are helping to advance the integration of adults with mental illness into society, with special emphasis on gainful employment. Our Corporate Partners lead the community of our supporters who make recovery possible for 100,000 Clubhouse members around the world.
The program engages corporate leaders beyond financial support, and includes opportunities for education and engagement for employees at all levels; joint social media promotion of important advocacy initiatives such as Mental Health Awareness Month (May), Clubhouse Giving Day (June 1) and World Mental Health Day (October 10); and facilitated connection to the Clubhouse International network of Clubhouses around the world.
The charter group of Corporate Partners includes: Kohlberg Kravits Roberts (New York, NY, USA); H. Lundbeck A/S (Copenhagen, Denmark); Neurocrine Biosciences (San Diego, CA, USA); Sunovion Pharmaceuticals (Marlborough, MA, USA); Alkermes Pharmaceuticals (Waltham, MA, USA); and Karuna Therapeutics (Boston, USA). These corporate leaders share a dedication to helping the one in four people around the world who are affected by mental illness, and the one in 25 who are living with serious mental illness.
Many people living with a mental health condition still lack access to quality services that respond to their needs and while respecting their rights and dignity. The Clubhouse approach is cited by the World Health Organization as an example of a rights-based approach to mental health services. Clubhouse International is dedicated to the strengthening and expansion of a global network of Clubhouses.

New 988 # Approved as Mental Health Support and Suicide Prevention Lifeline
Beginning July 2022, the US National Suicide Prevention Lifeline will officially start using ‘988’ as the number to call or text when one is having a mental health crisis.
Approved by the FCC, the new number will increase ease and accessibility for those considering suicide or self-harm to receive help more efficiently and without the weight of stigma. It is easy to use and confidential, and will guarantee that the call will be answered by a person trained in helping someone with a mental health emergency.
We join our partner mental health organizations in supporting this new US nationwide mental health crisis service number.
At its upcoming Sozosei Summit hosted by the Sozosei Foundation, the agenda will focus on 988, in addition to creating and exploring pathways to decriminalize mental illness. The Summit is a global event that brings together public health experts, thought-leaders, people with lived experience, medical and legal professionals, and more. Click here to register for the Sozosei Summit, December 13-15, PA, USA (both in-person and virtual attendance options).
