Clubhouse International is a global non-profit helping communities create Clubhouses — safe, welcoming spaces where people living with serious mental illness find hope, friendship, and opportunity.
Who We Are
Founded in 1994, Clubhouse International is the only global non-profit dedicated to creating and growing Clubhouses — community-based centers that give people living with serious mental illness hope and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Our vision: Clubhouses in every city and town around the world, so that all people with serious mental illness have access to the support, encouragement, and opportunities they need to lead independent, fully engaged lives.
Clubhouses are member-driven communities offering friendship, meaningful work, employment support, and housing & education assistance, all in one caring, safe environment.
Recognized by the US National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs & Practices · Hilton Humanitarian Prize Winner
What We Do
We help communities worldwide open new Clubhouses. Each new Clubhouse reaches approximately 500 people in need of support and belonging.
Our rigorous, research-based quality program ensures Clubhouses meet International Standards for Clubhouse Programs — guaranteeing strong, consistent member outcomes.
12 Training Centers worldwide deliver comprehensive programs on how to start up, sustain, and strengthen successful Clubhouses in any community.
We work globally to end the stigma of mental illness and promote evidence-based Clubhouse solutions with governments, health agencies, and communities.
